B2B Technologies is so excited to announce that  250 trees have been planted for Breville Australia!

250 Trees Planted for Breville Australia

Since July 2021, B2B Technologies (B2BT) has teamed up with 15trees to plant trees on behalf of our customers. Each time a customer signs up with us, a tree or number of trees would be planted.

As the initiative has gained some traction, especially with customers becoming more interested and wanting to plant more trees, we have been able to plant 550 trees so far. Our goal is to plant 1000 by the end of 2022.

As part of our latest partnership, Breville Australia will now have 250 trees planted in their name.

Our Partnership with Breville Australia

Breville Australia is a world leader in kitchen and home appliances. Founded in 1932, Breville has become a household name, known for its innovative designs and high-quality products, with a presence in over 70 countries.

Since partnering with B2BT, Breville has been supplied with a range of solutions, including printers, scanning software, professional headsets, visitor management solution and much more.

“Our extensive partnership with B2B Technologies has allowed us to become involved in this initiative, and really give back to the environment in a new way,” says Sophie Natale, Sustainability Specialist at Breville Australia.

Their trees will be planted around Australia, organised by 15trees; a company that helps individuals and businesses reduce their carbon footprint and combat the effects of climate change through sponsoring Australian community tree planting projects.

We will be providing native trees to NSW community groups for their planting projects. The trees are a mixture of eucalyptus and acacia species, indigenous to the district in which they are planted. They are sourced from local native nurseries.

Some of our most recent tree planting projects were in the Daintree in Queensland, Warrnambool on the West Coast of Victoria, and before that in Tasmania and New South Wales.

Benefits of Planting Trees

Planting trees benefit the environment in many ways.

According to World Vision Australia, “As trees grow, they absorb carbon dioxide (CO2), a major greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. When communities plant trees they can help to reduce the impacts of climate change in their local area and around the world.”.

Additionally, trees provide wildlife with habitat, create green corridors, improve biodiversity and soil health, help reverse the effects of erosion and rising water tables and provide shade and beauty to our open spaces. All species planted were native to Australia, some being endemic to the region. Others planted are cleaning the air, providing habitats, and fortifying the landscape against challenges to come.

“Partnering with fifteen trees has allowed us to expand our sustainable initiatives and directly give back to the environment. Each tree planted will be done in the name of our customers, so they know the sustainable impact they’re having when they become a client,” says Rebecca Belleli, Marketing & Communications Executive at B2B Technologies.

This is just one of many ways that B2B Technologies tries to give back to the environment. We are very sustainability-conscious and are always looking for opportunities to help our customers go-green in their everyday business practices. Besides planting trees, we offer solutions that can reduce paper use and wastage, toner recycling, and have a refurbished machine process that ensures printers are used to their full capabilities. Read more about our sustainability initiatives here.
